Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actor director, producer, educator, playwright and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother's her job. Anna appeared in numerous commercials in her youth. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to pursue her acting talents. Then, she settled in Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her husband in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism by then, and Seth Cooperman were wed in the month of December in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011, they renew their vows in an Jewish ceremony.
